Bright are the stars that shine, Dark is the sky

If music be the food of love, play on; Give me excess of it…

What’s your favourite love song?

The Saint of love – Mr Funny Valentine – is near and we are all being encouraged to share our true feelings for each other. This morning I arrived to find a small heart shaped biscuit on my desk. Perfecto for morning coffee and of course had definitely been left there by a mystery admirer… No such luck of course – one kind soul (Shiona – thanks!) had left us all a small treat. A picture of mine is below – with a small chunk missing.

This unexpected bit of niceness did get me thinking about songs that truly say ‘Je t’aime’. I myself am a fan of the classics…Songs that spring to mind include “I Think I Love You” by The Partridge Family, “How Deep Is Your Love,” by The Bee Gees and of course “I Love You Because You Look Like Jim Reeves” by Half Man Half Biscuit…

SCVO have reflected today that the route to true love runs through a little town called ‘Volunteervill’… See the link below for more:

And in the spirit of the occasion we’re hosting a ‘speed dating’ funding fayre at Renfrew Town Hall next week:

Wednesday 18th February 2015, 2.00pm to 4.00pm

Registration starts at 1.30pm. The event will be organised around a ‘speed dating’ arrangement, where the ‘funder’ stays at a table and the attendees move around the tables, discussions being 6 x 20 minute sessions. We will also have a funder sitting at a table providing information on their specific fund. Funders who are definitely coming along are, Renfrewshire Council, BBC Children In Need, Lloyds TSB, BIG Lottery, with more to confirm their attendance. Refreshments and a buffet will be available. If you’re interested in coming along please let us know –

Hopefully your Postie arrives with a big bag of love letters for you all…

All the best
